Happy New Year!!

New Year's Eve in Spain "12 grapes"

There are many different ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve, or Nochevieja which means ‘The Old Night’ in Spain, but there is just one tradition which everyone takes part in. If you want to be part of this custom you must buy 12 grapes and be ready to eat them when the clock strikes midnight. If you can eat one grape per chime you can look forward to a year of happiness and luck. Spanish people usually eat the 12 grapes at home with their families or go to one of the main city squares.

On new year’s eve in Spain once Spaniards have had dinner with their family or friends, they start preparing for midnight, making sure that they have twelve grapes each, as well as a glass of Cava to welcome in the New Year. On new years eve in Spain when the clock strikes midnight it is customary to eat one grape per chime while trying to follow the rhythm and not to laugh too much.

After the grape eating, most young people attend New Year parties - cotillones de nochevieja - at pubs or discos.Others prefer to go to a main square to celebrate New Years Eve in the street - the liveliest of all is reputedly Pun del Sal, in Madrid. Early next morning, the party-goers enjoy a breakfast of chocolate con churros (hot chocolate and filed pastry). Tradition states that wearing red underwear brings good luck for the year as long as it’s been bought for you by someone else.

" So where would you be tonight? Again, Happy New Year Peeps! Cheers~ "

2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8

At first glance, one can immediately notice the much more aggressive front end. Dodge has downsized the grill intakes, and added a lower fascia reminiscent of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. Also new is the hood scoop, which is currently exclusive to the Charger. Though we don’t have any shots of the rear end, we hear that the taillights are updated as well.
There aren’t many details on the engineering side of the fence, but we do know that SOP is August 2007 and that the interior has been updated (hopefully for the better). The 425hp, 6.1L HEMI engine remains unchanged, though the 5-speed AutoStick transmission programming has been tweaked and improved for faster and smoother shifts. The new SRT8 is the 6.1-liter HEMI V-8, delivering 425 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, contributing to a 0–60 mph time of less than five seconds, and 0–100–0 mph in under 17 seconds.

Estatic Argentina

Last night, saw the Arggies outclassed the Brazilians in Olympics football semi-finals, which saw rough in the second half play by the Brazilians and two of their players picking up red cards - what a disgrace!

Argentina will face Nigeria in the final. The win was inspired by Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Co against his former team mate Ronaldhino. Goals from Sergio Aguero and the captain Riquelme sunk the Samba boys resulting in a humiliating 3-0 defeat.

Non other than Argentinian and Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano has said that " the win was fantastic and beating Brazil is wonderful! ".His club manager Rafa Benitez will be proud of Mascherano if he wins the gold medal and comes back with a boost to serve his club.

For Brazil I guess they should be settling for the bronze medal and hope they don't repeat their antics against the Arggies.Hope that club scouts are monitoring all the youngsters in action in Beijing and bringing them to next level of their careers, especially playing in some of the best European clubs.

Fantastic Start To The Season

The EPL season has started with some great scores from some top flight teams, not to forget the newcomers as well. Liverpool, Chelsea and the young Gunners kicked off their EPL campaign with wins, meanwhile last season's champions Manchester United failed topic up maximum three points against stubborn Newcastle.

Newcomers Hull City won their first outing against Fulham and it gives them a big boost of confidence . Forget about Gareth Barry's transfer saga, Aston Villa are not distracted and showed this as they started with a win. In their hat-trick hero,Gabriel Agbonlahor I can see the potential of an England player.

Sadly the team Villa beat, Manchester City, are currently troubled by aninternal crisis.Lacking fire power up front has left Manchester United's Sir Alex Fergusona worried man, although he remains keen on signing Spurs' Dimitar Berbatov, which would complete the jigsaw puzzle in a partnership with Rooney and the injured Cristiano Ronaldo.

At the Emirates, the Gunners can play the most beautiful football in the EPL but are they good enough to land title? Honestly, I still missed Thierry Henry at Arsenal.

Some good signing such as Samir Nasri, who scored the winning goal on hisde but will improve the squad along with Carlos Vela, Aaron Ramsey and Lukasz Fabianski. But I would also like to see Theo Walcott more in the young Gunners squad and add more spice to the attack with Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The latter's new long-term contract is good news for Gunners fans.

Liverpool look like serious title contenders this season. Maybe the strike-force partnership of "El Nino" Torres and Robbie Keane could be the answer to the long 19-year wait to take the title back to Anfield.

With a new manager and a fabulous new player (Deco) scoring on his debut,Chelsea have all they need to be champions this season. The Blues withboss Luiz Felipe Scolari, look a more stronger squad with their experienced players and great signings. Winning more than a trophy could make Scolari the new "Special One."

The teams to watch are obviously the top four, but there should be some great action at Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Blackburn and Newcastle as they fight for European spots.

JEBBSEN AND JESSEN FUTSAL COMPETITION
# THE VERDICT #

Hmmm…

This requires post mortem. Two defeats in a row. Not expected at all.
The score
line suggests that there is a missing link that needs to be filled. Feedback? Some say it was due to silly errors and some lack of goal scoring power.

Whatever it may be it’s something that needs to be looked through. There has been suggestion that SGTI should organize more friendly tourneys. Definitely agreed.

Learn how to crawl and then we walk. That’s the saying that needs to be implemented. It was an upset hard to swallow. Well the idea is how do we come out of this? Take the defeat on your chin and walk high.

Lets take some positive’s and hope not to repeat mistakes. No point crying over split milk. The objective is to play as a team. If we can do that then anything is possible.

First game between CMC and SGTI resulted in a defeat. Scoreline 3 to 1. SGTI goal scored by Prakash junior.

Second game resulted in a defeat as well to MAS. Scoreline 2 to 1 and Khairy scored for SGTI.

Lets take this defeat out of our chest when the next friendly is organized. Until then cheers and keep rolling!

JEBSEN AND JESSEN FUTSAL COMPETITION

Yo SGTI…..Lets Kick it!

Here we go…Another exciting futsal tourney is just around the corner. This time though we have great teams participating. Just look at the list below :

1. AIA
2. AMEX
3. Bank Rakyat
4. CSA
5. LHDN
6. MAS
7. Telekom
8. TNB
9. JJ Comms
10. SGT International Sdn Bhd (SGTI)
11. KWSP

As far as it concerns SGTI will only be playing KWSP as the familiar one after one week. But looking at the others we are in for a real test. I know for a fact that Telekom is good. To come out as champions for this is impossible. But then again like Adidas say “ Impossible is nothing “ which is true to certain extend provided you have Ronaldo or Torres in your team.

This will test the physical and mental strength of SGTI. We are hoping that majority teams turn up with amateur’s or even so call “ uncles ’’ so we can probably smile our way through.

Another team rumored to be in is VADS. Good. I need to ask Mr Jack what happened to our competition money which eventually we won in a competition organized in 2005.

Anyhow lets enjoy and see what happens..Looking through a crystal ball we might not win this but IF WE DO THEN THE CRYSTAL BALL WOULD BREAK!

# SGTI / CMC MANAGEMENT EMERGED AS CHAMPIONS #

Would you believe it?

I definitely don’t. Among three teams contested it was the SGTI Management that emerged as champions. I guess experience has spoken for itself. Or shall we say it was a total fluke and lucky day for the Management team to be crowned Champions.

Whatever it is it’s done and dusted. A wonderful evening where two companies combined a friendly event like this. We should be organizing events like this more often.

From the start SGTI Call Center boys were looking to set it off. They looked outstanding in the complete football attire. They looked like Tottenham Hotspurs junior Academy Football Club.

The evening kicked off with SGTI Call Center taking on the CMC boys. It was a fast and entertaining game. Both youths displayed eagerness to win. It looked from the very first 5 minutes that SGT Call Center would come out as winners.

Attacks after attacks could not be withheld and some superb saves from the SGTI Call Center goalkeeper Ganesh proved that they could dominate this tournament. It ended with a one sided score 7-0. Wow !!..It reminded me of Liverpool vs Basikthas in last years Champions League campaign…or even MU vs Roma last season at Old Trafford.

And a big pat on the back to the the goal scorer’s and goalkeeper for a clean sheet.

The best was yet to come. The Management walked into the pitch knowing who they were up against. It was SGT Call Center boys . When we ( the Management ) looked around I said to myself “ Lets have a good time and relax after this “.

But surprise surprise! I was dead wrong. Experience took over the youth. Management played a composed game. And Management would you believe it won with a score line of 4-1. I have to point this out the most outstanding player not only in this particular game but through out the competition was the goalkeeper Mus from Avaya . Some of the saves made was unbelievable! It was like watching Van De Sar or Petr Cech in action. .Super class!..I even heard at the sidelines one of the CMC’s fan saying “ Bola cam tu pun die bole save. Dahsyat”.

The Management play the final game bearing in mind this would make them the tournament winners and a win or either a draw would do. This was not an easy game though. CMC as a result losing drastically came physical on this one. This game saw a loads of physical battle between players. The Management was in the lead but could not hold their nerve as CMC leveled the score line at 5-5. Game over. The Management crowned as champions ! The next game was just a play off between CMC and SGTI Call Center. The first half ended with a 2 0 score line to CMC but the game had to be abandon as time was up.

Man of the Match : Mus from Avaya

Top Scorer : Suren

# SGTI FC PREPARES A WEEKEND SHOWDOWN #

It’s about time.

The EURO 2008 has ended in a fantastic fashion. There were of course winners and disappointment but all this will be swept aside as the Management prepares to take on its first professional test at Bangi , Selangor this coming Friday.

It will be an exciting event as the youths of SGT International will be dressed down with their new complete company kit to re-present in the first ever Futsal Friendly between SGT International and CMC.

It will be a contest between 3 teams. Introduction of the first team is a combination of MOE and KPWPM youths. All youths ageing in within their twenties have enough in the tank to sort out and play attractive football as it claims but that is yet to be seen.

Next is the combination between Managements of SGTI and CMC. These guys are in their midst twenties and thirties which even includes Shah in the probable lines up. Will the chemistry gel? Shah , Shukry , Badrol and Dave are the only one’s representing SGTI. Are we in to watch an experience showcase or having a good big laugh? Well. Let the feet do the talking.

And the final team on the agenda is from CMC. Totally strangers . Rumors says that these are BOYS are good enough to be in an Open Futsal competition. Well in this case I guess the Management team has the most worrying to do. Do take note that these boys train regularly so it’s not an easy ride.

Despite all that it promises fun. The objective is to develop ties between two companies. Of course it will be much sweeter if SGTI merge as winners. All supporters are most welcomed. Distance is the barrier but in the end it’s the passion as well. Despite whatever the outcome ENJOY AND FAIR PLAY!

Details are as below :

Teams : SGTI Call Center , Management SGTI & CMC and CMC .
Date : 18 July 2008
Time : 6 pm - 8 pm
Venue : Active Futsal Court , Bangi
